On Monday, November 11, on Remembrance Day, His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian offered prayers of intercession and blessing for the Romanian and Canadian veterans who were in the armed conflicts. The hierarch also mentioned the Romanian and Canadian soldiers who fell on the battlefields for freedom and dignity and for the good of all humankind.

Remembrance Day is a Memorial Day within the Commonwealth Member States. On this day, prayers of intercession and blessing are offered for veterans, for soldiers in military service, for military chaplains and for their families. Prayers are also offered for veterans and military chaplains departed to the Lord for rest of their souls in the Kingdom of God.
