Sunday, November 10, 2019, as a sign of blessing on the occasion of the feast of St. Martyr Mina Parish in Lorraine, H.G. Ioan Casian, the Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Canada sent a fragment from the relics and the icon of St. Nectarios from the Cathedral for spiritual benefit and for the strengthening in Orthodox faith of the faithful. Starting at 10:00 am, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the church's clergy, Fr. Olimpiu Marginean and Fr. Ciprian Augustin Purcarea.
Considering that the two saints are celebrated very close, St. Nectarios on November 9 and St. Martyr Mina on November 11, all the believers presents enjoyed the celebration of the two saints, dear to all Orthodox.
Through their lives the two saints remain for us models worthy to follow, in patience, in tribulation, as examples of unwavering faith and sacrifice for our Lord Jesus Christ. Through their miracles to this day, the saints testify about eternal life, the power of their intercessory prayers before Christ, and especially of the Way that they themselves followed, even if it did not fit into the spirit of this passing age - said the parish priest Olimpiu Marginean in his sermon.
At the end of the religious service, all those who were present were invited to participate in a brotherly agape offered in honor of the saints.
