On Friday, March 22, the meeting of the Eparchial Council of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada took place.
On this occasion the status of the various decisions taken in the previous meetings was reviewed. It was also recalled: the need for the priests to explain the pastoral and administrative good-governance standing to those who are elected in the Parish Councils, for deans to assume the responsibility of collecting all administrative informations related to parishes, which then the Diocese centralizes, for the priests progressively develop parish pastoral programs proposed at the Diocesan Congress in 2018, to identify areas of increased interest where new missions can be developed among Romanians who have no spiritual assistance. Also, the dates for the next three Deanery meetings were set: Canada East, Canada Center, and Canada West.
On this occasion, it was also discussed the need to maintain a monthly phone call meetings with the Eparchial Council’s members for a better coordination and collaboration and more effective follow-up of the various decisions taken.
