Saint Maximus the Confessor Celebrated at the Episcopal Cathedral “Saint George the Great Martyr and the Holy Martyrs Epictetus and Astion” in Saint-Hubert, QC
With the blessing and participation of His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian, a celebration in honour of St. Maxim the Confessor took place on Monday, January 20, 2025, starting at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Episcopal Cathedral “Saint Great Martyr George and the Holy Martyrs Epictetus and Astion” in Saint-Hubert, QC.
The Night Vigil service began with Vespers, followed by Matins and the Holy Liturgy. The Romanian hierarch was joined by Fr. Mircea Panciuk archpriest emeritus, Protos. Maxim Morariu ecclesiarch, Fr. Adrian Manea, Fr. Daniel Ungureanu, and Deacon Valentin Boțu in the celebration.
At the conclusion of the service, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian, Fr. Maxim delivered a homily on the life, message, and relevance of St. Maximus the Confessor. The faithful had the opportunity to venerate a relic of St. Maximus. The religious service was attended by numerous believers from Montreal and the surrounding areas. Glory to God for everything!
