Psaltic event at Mono Monastery

Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the context of the "Commemorative Year of Hymnographers and Church Chanters" in the Romanian Patriarchate, at the Orthodox Monastery of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and St. Ephrem the New in Mono within the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada, the Divine Liturgy was performed followed by the service of commemorations for hymnographers, psalts and of churches and monasteries’ chanters. Those who stayed after the agape meal could watch the documentary film of Master Archdeacon Mihail Bucă, Protopsaltis of the Patriarchal Cathedral.

Sunday, December 10, 2023, after the Divine Liturgy, the TeDeum Service was performed for psalters and church chanters. The answers were given by the psalter Andrei-Cătălin Ghebaru, a member of the "Tronos" group of the Patriarchal Cathedral and the Psalter Cosmin Mardare.

The hieromonk Polycarp, in his sermon, invited the pilgrims of the holy monastery to embrace psaltic chant, while thanking to the psalters present in the pilgrimage to the place of worship.
